If you were absent for the SS tests today, you need to take them online through Google Classroom. I have posted two links in an assignment at the very top of the Stream in your SS Google Classroom. You need to do them ASAP. One of them is a Vocab test. The other is the Culture test. It took most students the entire class period to finish them, so that is just a heads up on how long it will take you.

Monday - INB pg 14-15 in class to review for the TEST on Tuesday. 
Tuesday - TEST DAY - know culture vocab from INB p.4-5 (use http://quizlet.com/_rjdqx to study online) and items off the study guide from pages 14-15.
Wednesday - Start Latitude/Longitude with pretest and Self-Assess our INBs.
Thursday - INB p19-  5 Themes of Geography 
Friday - Google Day - Continue exploring Drive.

SS-Google Day. Introduced some of the features of Drive. Students were also given some exploration time. CULTURE TEST on Tuesday.
CE-Discussed news. Used Google Earth and an article to answer questions about India. No HW.
Have fun over the weekend, but not enough you get in trouble and do something nice for someone!

SS-Discussed the similarities/differences btwn US and Maimafu cultures. We had a great discussion on the topic of wealth. HW=No.
CE-Developed a Thesis statement about an article on India. HW=No.

We went over the nine vocabulary words the students will need for learning culture. We then defined them, wrote them in sentence that shows we know and understand the vocab word, and finally, drew a visual representation of the vocab word to help with remembering the word. If you didn't get done in class, it's homework. Classes had at least 20 minutes to work on them in class.
